I let out a sigh, before locking the bathroom door and flicking out the light. The mirror sat there, waiting for me to gaze into it for god knows how long. I had heard about this phenomenon when boredly researching the Bloody Mary myth. Something about seeing monsters if you stare into the mirror for a while in low light. Apparently your brain can start freaking out, making you see things that aren’t really there. I can only assume that it’s just average facial distortions. It didn’t go into detail about it. My eyes met my reflections’. My hands rested on the cool, white sink. I had set my phone on the side, and set an alarm for 30 minutes. That should be enough time for the effects to take place. Hopefully. Time seemed to slow immensely. I felt my impatience grow, bubbling in me like some strange stew. Weird analogy, but what more do you want from me?
